Lead Business Analyst - Parametric
About the role
The Lead Business Analyst at Parametric is responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and analysis artifacts. They partner with business and technology teams to deliver technical products from inception through ongoing maintenance, supporting enterprise transformation at Parametric.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and analysis artifacts.
- Conduct user research and requirements elicitation with business partners to define the business need, clarify impacts, and translate findings into clear analysis deliverables.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support design and development, including current and future state workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and wireframes or prototypes as needed.
- Partner with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to align solution direction, advocate for business needs, and identify dependencies across systems, data, and processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops that drive decisions on target operating models, business processes, and data-related policies.
- Support solution delivery by contributing to backlog development and prioritization, advising development teams and product owners on business-facing enhancements, and adapting effectively to Agile or other ways of working.
- Afford user acceptance testing, validate production readiness and completeness, and support successful business adoption of delivered solutions.
- Apply strong knowledge of Parametric’s asset management business, technology landscape, and enterprise objectives to inform analysis, recommendations, and future-state decision-making.
- Use AI and other tools to improve the quality, efficiency, and strategic value of analysis work products and solution outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders by facilitating decisions, clarifying tradeoffs, and surfacing risks, dependencies, and impacts early.
- Improve solution quality and business adoption by supporting effective user testing, validating readiness for production, and helping teams implement changes successfully.
- Lead complex, cross-functional analysis efforts with a proactive, enterprise-minded approach that connects process, data, and technology decisions to broader business outcomes.
- Model strong business analysis practices through high-quality documentation, stakeholder engagement, and effective use of tools, including AI, to improve team productivity and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis.
- Strong domain knowledge of asset management and equity direct indexing.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with peers, technology colleagues, and business partners, including strong questioning and listening skills.
- Tailored communication to the audience, delivering clear and concise messaging appropriate to their level of understanding and interest.
- Document meetings and work, and communicate decisions through concise written content.
- Advanced experience working with Agile/Lean/Kanban software development processes.
- Advanced skills using a variety of tools to document workflows and data mapping, including but not limited to Excel, Visio, Lucid, and Figma.
- Understanding of analysis and documentation goals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet deadlines.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously.
- Advanced skills using data analysis tools including SQL, Excel, Visio, Lucid, Figma, Tableau, and Python.

Pay
Salary range for the position: $115,000 - $225,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.

Expected base pay rates
For the position, the expected base pay rates will be between $115,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
