Position Overview
The Lead Building Engineer will lead maintenance support for the data center and campus, ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems operate efficiently. They will supervise engineering staff and coordinate projects under the direction of the Chief Engineer, assist outside vendors/contractors with specialized maintenance, repairs, and mechanical projects, and promote continuous improvement of existing practices and learn new systems. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, they will maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data center environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to building management
- PREFERRED: 2 years’ experience with building automation systems, Johnson Controls, Metasys
- Supervisory experience and project management skills
