About the role
Limelight Hotels by Aspen One provide authentic and contemporary connections to their communities and the adventures that surround them. Each Limelight hotel is inspired by place, united by purpose, and set in the heart of elevated and unique locations across Colorado (Aspen, Snowmass, Denver, and Boulder), Ketchum, Idaho, Mammoth, California, and Charleston, South Carolina. The Lead Breakfast Attendant oversees the breakfast service team, ensuring smooth operations, addressing guest concerns, coordinating with the kitchen, and supporting the Supervisor on duty. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.
Responsibilities
- Exercise leadership over the breakfast service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Monitor the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the breakfast buffet or dining area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely replenishment of Food & Beverage items
- Ensure that equipment and supplies are in working order and report maintenance needs promptly
- Assist the supervisor on duty with scheduling, inventory management, and team performance feedback
- Lead by example, motivating the team to provide consistent, high-quality service
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One year of Food & Beverage experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Familiarity with various breakfast items, including dietary restrictions and common allergens
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely replenishment and presentation of breakfast items
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide a welcoming and positive dining experience
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
- Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve team goals
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods
- May be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
