Lead Biostatistician (Oncology Clinical Studies)

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Biostatistician (Oncology Clinical Studies) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead the statistical design and analytical strategy for oncology clinical studies, with a strong focus on study planning, execution, and high-quality deliverables. The position partners closely with clinical and medical teams to shape decision-making, apply innovative methods, and strengthen overall study rigor. It also offers the opportunity to mentor junior statisticians and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $130,900 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Lead statistical design and analytical planning for oncology clinical studies Collaborate with clinical and medical teams to influence study planning and execution Author and review statistical deliverables such as analysis plans and reports Recommend and apply novel statistical methods to improve study outcomes Mentor junior statisticians and help enhance departmental processes Qualifications Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field; Ph.D. preferred 4+ years of experience in clinical trial biostatistics Expertise in time-to-event analysis with advanced survival modeling approaches Demonstrated experience with innovative study designs and power calculations Familiarity with ICH and GCP guidelines, plus CDISC standards Proficiency in the R programming language Benefits Opportunity to work on cutting-edge oncology diagnostics Collaborative cross-functional work environment Chance to mentor early career professionals Engagement in innovative statistical applications Remote work flexibility Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
