About the role

The Lead Barista at Ralph’s Coffee will ensure a consistently memorable hospitality experience while maintaining day-to-day operational processes, procedures, and standards. This role supports the Assistant Hospitality Manager and Hospitality Manager in upholding customer experience, brand, and operational standards. The Lead Barista will also ensure the Ralph’s Coffee team is fully trained on technical skills, safe work practices, product knowledge, store service standards, and brand philosophy. The role promotes a friendly and welcoming environment for customers and team members, modeling the Company’s ethics and brand values.

Responsibilities

• Operations:
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked environment adhering to company, health, and safety standards.
  • Informs management of supply needs for branded retail products, food, coffee, dry goods, and other materials.
  • Assists in the distribution of product shipments and supports inventory management as directed.
  • Accurately manages inventory to ensure stock availability.
  • Supports effective and positive communication among all team members.
  • Promotes and practices safe work habits, reporting potential safety hazards and operational inconsistencies.
• Service:
  • Provides outstanding service and maintains a welcoming environment to build customer loyalty.
  • Proactively solves customer problems and satisfies customers in all situations.
  • Demonstrates customer service and hospitality standards by greeting and responding to customers with fast, efficient, friendly, and professional service.
  • Develops rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks, and food items.
  • Responds proactively to prevent customer service issues.
• Product:
  • Follows all company drink recipes and procedures, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.
  • Leads by example in educating the team on products and services, including coffee and tea regions, blends, roasts, and flavor differences.
  • Tastes products per shift to ensure the highest quality.
• Training & Development:
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and communicate the Ralph’s Coffee and Ralph Lauren ways.
  • Supports technical training and standards to ensure all team members can deliver on expectations.

Requirements

• Several years of retail or hospitality experience, preferably in an elevated service environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work mornings, weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Frequent standing and use of hands and arms.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
• Regularly handles food, hot beverages, and sharp objects.

Pay

$18 - $32.21 hourly
