SUMMARY
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas and specialty drinks as well as menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.
- Describe menu items to customers and suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blends or preparation descriptions.
- Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
- Receive and process customer payments utilizing a POS system.
- Train new staff to ensure consistency. Follow up with existing staff to ensure SOP compliance.
- Work with the F&B Operations Manager to create the schedule.
- Order and requisition coffee, syrups, pastries/grab-n-go items and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Order, receive and stock supplies and retail products.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness.
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators and heating equipment to ensure proper function.
- Manage daily cleaning and preventative maintenance of the coffee shop equipment.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment, including service and seating areas.
- Maintain the service island in front of the Coffee Shop by stocking and cleaning.
- Set up and restock product displays.
- Create signage to advertise store products or events.
- Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, biscotti or bagels.
- Wrap, label and date food items for sale.
- Weigh, grind and pack coffee beans for customers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Possess excellent customer service abilities
- Successfully utilize the POS System
- Able to lift minimum of 30 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with availability to work weekends, and holidays
- Able to efficiently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and quality service.
