Lead, Bakery- Sanitation

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Bakery Sanitation – 2nd Shift to join our team at our Aspire Bakeries facility in Ontario, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and coach sanitation team members to consistently meet Aspire Bakeries’ food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure sanitation practices support allergen and non-allergen food production with a strong “clean is clean” mindset
• Oversee daily sanitation operations, staffing coverage, task assignments, and time management
• Maintain audit-ready conditions at all times, including ATP performance, environmental cleaning, and first-pass quality results
• Monitor facility cleanliness, equipment readiness, and sanitation supply levels to prevent operational interruptions
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and pride of ownership across the sanitation team
• Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure overall facility cleanliness and readiness

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and GMPs
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
• Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Experience with ATP testing and sanitation validation processes (preferred)
• Familiarity with audit preparation and environmental cleaning programs (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop hourly teams (preferred)

Pay

Hourly Rate: $26.00 – $27.00

Schedule

Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Weekend availability: Required
