Lead, Bakery-Production

About the role

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Production Lead, you will coordinate and guide production and packing teams to ensure safe, efficient operations while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cook up a plan to keep the production and packing teams running smoothly
• Take charge of the team during breaks and lunches
• Pass on the knowledge to newbies and help them get up to speed
• Make sure the team is keeping track of everything right
• Keep the whole crew on the same page with the quality, safety, and cleanliness of the area
• Step in and help out when the supervisor isn't around

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members
• Working knowledge of production equipment and processes
• Accurately complete production documentation and system data entry
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as required

Qualifications

• Prior lead or supervisory experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Experience working with SAP or similar production reporting systems
• Knowledge of food safety, quality, and sanitation standards
• Experience training or cross-training production employees
• Proven ability to improve efficiency and productivity in a team environment
