Role Overview

Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, adequate staffing, and achievement of company standards and key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, ordering, and product quality control to ensure freshness and proper storage.
• Oversee team tasks including stocking, production, and quality assurance, handling spoiled/damaged products appropriately.
• Maintain product knowledge and store promotions, including ad items and sales features.
• Communicate and execute weekly plans, manage scheduling, labor, and payroll in support of departmental goals.
• Support staffing, training, performance management, and development of associates.
• Participate in meetings, maintain a clean, well-stocked department, and ensure food safety and safety guidelines are followed.
• Assist in developing strategies to meet company KPIs, support safety and guest experience standards, and perform cross-department tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership abilities with hands-on work capability and business acumen.
• Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and suggestive selling skills preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; bilingual skills (Spanish) desirable based on location.

Physical & Additional Requirements

• Lift up to 30 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally; stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods; work in varied temperatures and environmental conditions.
