About the role
The Lead AWS Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure cloud solutions on AWS. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams, support of cloud infrastructure, and driving automation, reliability, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud platforms
- Drive automation, scalability, and system reliability
- Support full service lifecycle (design to operations)
- Lead cloud migration and modernization (microservices, containers)
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems
- Collaborate with teams, guide best practices, and mentor peers
Requirements
- 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years in AWS engineering/administration
- Experience in SRE practices and cloud transformation
- Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, etc.), with at least 2-3 years with EKS
- Experience with EC2, EKS, Operations side, RedShift, Platform Engineering, Sagemaker, Bedrock
- Experience with Kubernetes, DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform), and CI/CD
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Linux, and scripting
Skills
- Programming: Python, Java, Go, etc.
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)
- Misitng: New Relic, Datadog, Jenkins, Git, etc.
