About the role
This position serves as a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician at West Star Aviation, a rapidly expanding MRO provider. Key responsibilities include leading a team to ensure timely and accurate completion of high-quality work, troubleshooting aircraft systems, and managing projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians to achieve timely and accurate results
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems
- Process work orders, logbook entries, and FAA forms
- Coordinate interdepartmental schedules and provide production support
- Direct the work and flow of multiple projects
- Supervise team members in daily operations and duties
- Perform general avionics support tasks, including panel and component removal/installation and repair work
- Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems as needed
- Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components as required
- Maintain shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations
- Ensure adherence to FAA guidelines and company policies
- Work independently and lead multiple projects
- Handle customer inquiries and requests
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- Electrical tech school
- Aircraft specific factory training preferred
- A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (optional)
- 8+ years of prior experience in aircraft maintenance/avionics, including supervision of four or more team members
- An advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders, and Corridor systems
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime
- Basic personal computer operations

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
