About the role
This position serves as a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician at West Star Aviation, a rapidly expanding MRO provider with facilities across the United States. The role involves supervising a team of technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of high-quality work. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting aircraft systems, managing workloads, and coordinating projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians to achieve timely and accurate results
- Perform aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument system troubleshooting and repairs
- Manage work orders, logbook entries, and FAA forms
- Coordinate interdepartmental schedules and provide production support
- Directly supervise multiple technicians and manage their daily tasks
- Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects as assigned
- Handle customer interactions and maintain a customer-oriented work ethic
- Supervise team members in daily operations and duties
- Complete work orders and FAA paperwork
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- Electrical tech school or relevant training
- Aircraft-specific factory training preferred
- A valid driver's license for airline travel or a valid passport (optional)
- 8+ years of prior experience in aircraft maintenance and avionics, including supervision of four or more team members
- An advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders, and Corridor systems

- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Ability to attend work regularly and notify supervisor of absences
- Basic personal computer operations

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
