About the role

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Lead Automation Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and/or repairs of company equipment with a focus on automated systems. The role involves leading troubleshooting and improvement project efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Lead Technician for the Equipment Maintenance Team.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support and implement companywide projects and efforts.
  • Solves high-level technical issues and acts as a subject matter expert for automated production equipment.
  • Maintains and adjusts vision inspection systems.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Aids the automation engineering team in building automated cells, fixtures, and end-of-arm tools.
  • Carries out preventative maintenance activities on automated equipment.
  • Ensures accurate documentation for repairs and maintenance in the ERP system.
  • Utilizes Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year technical degree in Automation Systems, Robotic, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automated equipment/machine maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with clean room manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Education required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Desired: Two-year technical degree.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with PLC logic and computerized machine control.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of applicable Work Instructions and SOPs.
  • Knowledge of robotics, vision inspection systems, automated controls, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
