About the Role

The Lead Cabana Attendant will assist our team and guests with cabana reservations, requests, and general questions, both in person and over the telephone, while ensuring the pool scheduling desk runs smoothly. This role is responsible for exceeding guest expectations and proactively enhancing guest satisfaction through positive interactive skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage a Pool Operations Team of 20+ team members.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Escort guests to their cabana and assist them with service requests throughout the day.
  • Assist guests with reservations, general questions, and requests.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, including lifeguards, EVS, and food and beverage.
  • Use a personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, duties, and review of company documents.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a resort pool or similar field.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Physical Demands

  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.

  • Everyone works in EVS: Pick up trash on the floor. If a mess requires more attention, notify the appropriate department or individual.
  • Everyone works in Guest Experience: Assist guests with a smile. If a guest needs more help than you can provide, notify the appropriate department or individual.
