About the role
The MicroCleaner Lead oversees the day-to-day cleaning operations and quality programs of specific accounts or group sites.
Schedule
Full Time – Monday to Friday. Hours will vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniques.
- Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
- Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
- Makes rounds to check for crew coverage of designated work areas, assigns needed coverage, gives special cleaning instructions and/or assignments, and ascertains compliance with directives.
- Maintains records, such as reporting and managing employee paid time off.
- Ensures accurate timekeeping and ensures labor law compliance.
- Performs inventories, reports, and related work as assigned.
- All other duties as defined by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of experience in the cleaning and/or janitorial arenas.
- Versed in safety requirements, equipment use, scheduling, and training.
Skills
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
