Lead Associate, Quick Commerce F F Center-VAR (L3)

About the role

This role requires open availability seven days a week, and flexibility to work at various sites within 10 miles of the primary Operations site in the metro area as needed. You’ll be at the core of our fastest delivery operation, enhancing the customer shopping experience in a dynamic culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, integrity, continuous learning, and fun.

Work environment

• Safety: Safe working conditions provided.
• Surroundings: Retail warehouse environment with equipment such as shopping carts, pallet jacks, stock dollies, and a variety of products including food and alcoholic beverages. Interaction with digital shopping technology.
• Activity: Frequent movement between areas, standing for most tasks, and some lifting. May require reaching into coolers or freezers.
• Noise level: Minimal, typical of a retail warehouse environment.
• Dress code: Relaxed with safety rules; comfortable, slip-resistant, closed-toe shoes required. Additional protective and visibility gear may be needed.

If applying to a site that hasn’t opened yet, you’ll help prepare the team for its first customer orders, including setting up shelving, unloading product deliveries, and undergoing extended training and onboarding at a nearby site.

Responsibilities

• Support, motivate, and model desired behavior for the team.
• Manage operational processes, safety, quality, performance, and customer delivery promises following Regional Area Manager guidance.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized workspace.
• Provide ongoing training on system and equipment knowledge, quality, and general operations; assist in identifying training needs.
• Provide feedback on processes and standards; serve as the escalation point for associates and peers to solve issues, deploy labor, and ensure breaks and lunches are taken.
• Maintain a key to the site; open and close following proper procedures.
• Handle a wide assortment of products including produce, meat, seafood, and alcoholic beverages.
• Receive truck deliveries.
• Collaborate with associates and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Participate in associate onboarding as required.
• Ensure consistent execution of product workflow processes, including receiving, stocking, replenishing, and preparing for delivery.
• Perform front-line duties whenever necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience and operations by developing best practices and product knowledge.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and count product.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items.
• Able to go up and down stairs (where applicable).
• Available to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• On site for the entirety of your shift.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Basic:
  • Work 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.
• Preferred:
  • 2+ years of production, warehouse, or other leadership experience, or 1+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution setting.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in providing peer-to-peer feedback.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results.

Pay

Starting pay: $25.00 - $26.50 USD hourly, including base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential depending on the shift selected. Additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay.
