As a Production Team Leader, you will play a key role in guiding daily factory floor operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, and supporting a high-performing team that delivers quality equipment to customers around the world. Responsibilities
- Ensure daily production conditions are met (Manpower, Materials, Methods, Tools, and Equipment)
- Manage daily production activities, work order flow, and team time tracking
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve production abnormalities
- Provide hands-on leadership, support, and mentorship to team members during problem-solving activities
- Escalate production delays and operational issues to the Production Manager when needed
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized work documentation and procedures
- Ensure only trained and qualified employees perform assigned tasks; provide training where gaps exist
- Monitor work-in-process against production standards and identify on-track vs. off-track performance
- Balance workflows among team members to meet customer delivery targets
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities within your production cell
- Verify tools and equipment are calibrated, functioning properly, and used appropriately
- Address basic personnel issues and team discipline with guidance from the Production Manager
- Step in to support production during disturbances when necessary
- Assist with other production-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of production experience in our manufacturing environment
- A mechanical understanding of production work and assembly processes
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward problem prevention
- A logical, fact-based approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Interest in developing leadership and mentoring others
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence tools (preferred)
