Lead ASME/PED Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide response/ update documents/ revalidate design documents based on Inspection Agency's findings.
• Develop and review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with ASME Section IX.
• Prepare and maintain Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) based on test results and inspection reports.
• Facilitate welder performance qualification (WPQ) testing and document welder certifications.
• Develop and deliver training programs for welders and inspectors on ASME standards and internal procedures.
• Support audit preparation related to ASME certification.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions to align current practices with certification requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in static equipment design and handling of ASME Certification related documentation.
• Expertise in AMSE Sec VIII, IX Code requirements, Welding, and interpretations.
• Proficiency in design and calculation software (PV Elite, Compress, etc.).
• Experience in stress analysis, load calculations, and material compliance.
• Experience in preparing PED technical dossiers and CE marking files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
