Lead Architect (Requiring AI and API Integration Experience)

Position Summary

CVS Health is transforming health care and empowering millions of customers. We are seeking a Lead Architect, Solution Engineering to develop and guide the most advanced end-to-end solution architectures for significant initiatives, collaborating with key business and IT stakeholders.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of architects for the PBM organization
• Develop and provide solution design and guidance ensuring adherence to PSS Architecture Guiding Principles and standards while maximizing technology asset reuse
• Lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for PBM technology
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to App Development, Technology Services, and Solutions
• Lead and drive proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies
• Advise and assist App Development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges in key strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Technical skills in application and integration architecture, domain-driven design, security, and automation
• In-depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture
• Experience working with technologies that integrate modern apps with legacy infrastructure using streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
• 5+ years of overall design/development experience
• In-depth knowledge of major public cloud platforms including GCP, AZURE, and AWS
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML (including GenAI), with expertise in automating processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Health Care Industry domain knowledge
• Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Master Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $118,450.00 - $260,590.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
