About the role
The Lead Aquarist oversees the care and maintenance of aquatic exhibits, ensuring optimal conditions for marine life. This includes daily feeding, water quality monitoring, and regular cleaning of tanks and pools.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the care and maintenance of all aquatic exhibits
- Monitor and maintain water quality in exhibits
- Plan and execute regular cleaning schedules for tanks and pools
- Feed marine life according to dietary requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure exhibit safety and compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aquarium management
- Experience with marine animal husbandry and care
- Strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems and environmental science
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

$75,000 - $85,000 annually
