Lead Aircraft Fueler

About the role

The Lead Aircraft Fueler oversees and coordinates the safe and efficient fueling, defueling, and servicing of aircraft at the airport. This role includes mentoring other employees and maintaining a safe, secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members while performing fueling and defueling services safely and efficiently.
• Drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Train employees during on-the-job training or airline-specific training, or assign them to work with experienced agents.
• Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.
• Assist Aircraft Fuelers to ensure duties are performed professionally, safely, and efficiently according to Company and Carrier standards.

• Take responsibility for the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and others while at work, following provided training and workplace safety rules.
• Adhere to the Company’s Substance Misuse Policy, which prohibits the misuse of alcohol and drugs and includes regular testing.

Requirements

• Valid US driver’s license.
• Pass a pre-employment color vision test.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Pass a background check and obtain a US Customs seal.
