Key Responsibilities
- Understand key concepts of Marketing data and be ready to work in a fast environment
- Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and/or streaming data pipelines across multiple source systems (APIs, databases, Engineering Tools and event streams)
- Develop curated datasets and data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases
- Apply data architecture best practices Semantic Layer (ingestion patterns, schema evolution, data contracts, lake/warehouse organization)
- Implement data quality checks, observability/monitoring, lineage, and SLAs; troubleshoot pipeline issues end-to-end
- Optimize data performance and cost (partitioning, clustering, file formats, query tuning, compute sizing)
- Collaborate with platform/security teams to implement access controls and safe handling of sensitive data
- Contribute to documentation, reusable frameworks, code standards, and CI/CD automation
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years (or equivalent) experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend development with significant data work
- Advanced SQL and proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, or Scala)
- Hands-on experience with orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Datbricks, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Spark, or similar)
- Experience with cloud data ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data storage/compute services (data lake/warehouse)
- Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling and/or other modern modeling approaches)
- Solid engineering practices: Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and clear documentation
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics
- 5+ years of related experience
Pay
Our Lead Advanced Analytics position earns between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual.
