About the role

The Lead Accounts Receivable Clerk assists the Supervisor in maintaining departmental goals, including running or requesting Accounts Receivable reports, reviewing adjustments and refunds, and performing supervisory tasks as needed. This role is responsible for daily auditing of the department’s work and delivering high-level professional and personalized guest service aligned with the Company’s core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the AR Supervisor with Month End Journal Entries and AR Reconciliations.
  • Determine the need to prioritize specific accounts and place them ahead in the queue as needed.
  • Assist staff with work-related issues and special projects.
  • Cover or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Provide orientation and training for employees, including area of responsibility, devices, and equipment used in their function.
  • Assign duties to employees, explain performance expectations, and communicate how success will be measured.
  • Assist the A/R Supervisor with staff evaluations, including probationary period assessments and ongoing feedback.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise Accounts Receivable Clerks.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage employees, with training and coaching skills to develop motivated teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent in English, and articulate.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and cohesively while producing quality results.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Minimum age requirement: 21.
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) specific to position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication with guests, employees, and management in English.
  • Ability to complete standard forms and reports.
