Lead Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Analyze and explain financial results through the completion of monthly fluxes
• Summarize findings and make recommendations to leadership
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support SOX and financial statement audit requests
• Collaborate with the broader accounting team and assist with general ledger, financial reporting, and miscellaneous accounting tasks as assigned
• Develop and support relationships with business partners
• Actively identify opportunities for process improvement or operational automation in existing system infrastructure
• Special Projects: Opportunities to work on special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ of accounting experience with experience as a mentor to junior team members
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• A strong sense of ownership, initiative and solution-oriented mindset
• Organized and thorough with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Netsuite as an ERP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Possess a collaborative spirit
• Mixture of public accounting and private industry experience

Benefits

• Salary Range: $95,000-$100,000
• In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085), the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above.
• Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
