About the role
This role will be based in New York City, Chicago, or San Francisco. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Responsibilities
- Engage and strategize with senior-level executives at client companies or agencies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive revenue to their business
- Develop and cultivate deep relationships with senior executive clients at SVP, VP and CMO levels
- Be consultative and identify net new buying groups to grow client investment
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Insights, Marketing, Measurement, Sponsorships, and Agency to collaborate on campaign strategy, activation, and drive toward client goals
- Proactively investigate industry-specific information and trends, providing research and narratives to align with customer needs
- Conceive and pitch creative marketing solutions to advertising agencies and direct clients
- Command, report and forecast sales activity - from prospecting target accounts and contacts, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, to closing deals and renewal, including robust pipeline and accountability and gap planning
- Update and create sales proposals and manage advertising agencies and marketers
- Generate revenue and hit target quota, with accountability around forecasting and gap planning
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, media and/or business development, 3+ years of media sales or digital media account management experience
- PREFERRED QualIFICATIONS: Experience in B2B, Ability to develop authentic, senior-level relationships, Experience preparing sales proposals, forecasts and account planning, Ability to demonstrate an understanding of advertising technology and marketing automation, Ability to achieve results by understanding the needs of the customer and connecting a customer’s pressures with business and product solutions, Proven track record of exemplifying leadership behaviors, Organizational strength, robust planning and sales operational excellence, Experience in Tech vertical
