Lead Academic Guide

Job Duties

• Aid the director with guide training materials and curriculum development.
• Aid the center with content creation (e.g., 15 time management strategies).
• Attend weekly one-hour meetings with the director.
• Send weekly update emails to the academic guides.
• Act as the liaison between the director, guides, students, and the Commons' needs.
• Manage space management, ensuring the center is welcoming, supportive, and staffed.
• Oversee the Stall Street Journals - curating content, editing, printing, and posting with assistance from other guides.
• Create schedules for semesters and finals week.
• Offer feedback and suggestions on improving the center.
• Assist with team development and hiring processes.
• Serve on the programming committee and act as the administrative executive.
• Be comfortable with public speaking and training fellow students.
• Conduct data analysis at the end of the semester based on student interactions with the center.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a current CSS student.
• Federal work study eligibility is required.
• Experience working in the Saints Learning Commons.
• Able to work 10 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Available over the summer for planning work.
• Jr or Sr status.
