Lead Abatement Grant Manager
About the Role
The City of Lewiston is seeking a motivated and organized professional to administer its HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program. This position oversees grant-funded residential rehabilitation projects from start to finish, including grant administration, contractor coordination, budgeting, regulatory compliance, federal reporting, and collaboration with homeowners, contractors, and community partners. Responsibilities
- Administer the HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program
- Oversee grant-funded residential rehabilitation projects
- Coordinate with contractors, homeowners, and community partners
- Ensure regulatory compliance and federal reporting
- Manage budgeting and grant administration
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) in Public Administration, Community Development, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Applied Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience with grant administration, community development, public policy, residential rehabilitation, or federally funded programs is highly desirable
- Valid State of Maine driver's license required

Pay
$59,845.50 – $88,315.50 annual
Schedule
Full Time, Exempt (37.5 hours/week), Mon.-Thurs. (follows current City Hall staff schedule)
Note: This is a grant-funded temporary position funded through the City's 2025–2028 HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Grant. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.
