About the role

As a Licensed Social Worker, you will be an active member of the psychiatry treatment team, addressing the complex bio-psychosocial needs of patients through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, advocacy, and resource linkage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments of patients.
- Develop treatment plans addressing issues identified in assessments.
- Provide resource linkage and advocacy with appropriately identified resources.
- Participate in departmental objectives, assignments, rounds, and team meetings.
- Provide psychotherapy on an outpatient basis to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health guidelines.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, diagnostic formulations, and preliminary treatment plans within regulated time frames (OMH/CMS).
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and document all patient contacts per NYS Office of Mental Health requirements.
- Perform acute/crisis evaluations and coordinate psychiatric hospitalization as needed.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
- Function as a member of the outpatient clinical Treatment Team and facilitate referrals for medication evaluations, inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations, and community support services.
- Communicate with patients and other treating providers to coordinate treatment plan goals and objectives.
- Participate in case conference treatment team meetings.
- Treat patients, colleagues, and staff with cooperation, compassion, and respect.
- Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ethical standards of practice in the field.
- Participate in the Utilization Review Process and collaborate with outside agencies, such as CPS/DSS.
- Perform other duties as requested and observed by supervisor or manager.
- Provide clinical supervision to LMSW/LCSW in accordance with NYS Board of Education – Office of the Professions.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, required.
- Minimum 2 years post Master's Degree experience, preferred.
- Preference for prior related experience.
- Current NYS Licensure as an LCSW within 3 months of hire, required.

Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Primarily involves sitting, with occasional walking or standing.

Pay
Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
Pay Range: $73,483.56 – $110,225.34 per year.
