Essential Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Performs initial assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow up, and education relevant to the clients care (age specific).
  • Obtains histories and develops treatment plans and notes, ensuring accuracy and competency.
  • Acts as an advocate for the safety delivery of care and well-being of the client.
  • Affords individual students in addressing obstacles that interfere with personal/social, career or educational development.
  • Identifies and offers assistance to students coping in crisis.
  • Evaluates patient status and response to treatment.
  • Modifies plan of care based on evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Evaluates continued need for care or need for referral to other providers or support.
  • Utilizes an effective referral process to assist students who need more intensive counseling or therapy.
  • Reports special cases including child abuse and neglect, truancy, etc., to principal and appropriate personnel and provides appropriate counseling.

Requirements

The salary range for this position is $52,000-$72,000 per year. Salary is dependent on experience and based on a 10-month assignment. Schedule is based on the school's calendar year.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
