Position Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program.
- A valid unrestricted license from a State, the District of Columbia, a U.S. Commonwealth, or a U.S. Territory.
- Experience in brief behavioral interventions, critical incident event management, public speaking, and case management.
- Professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence; $3,000,000 aggregate.
- A minimum of six years of full-time professional experience post-licensure.
- An understanding of law enforcement, military lifestyle and culture.
- Effective communication with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds.
- Well-versed in crisis debriefing, individual and family counseling, case management, and training.
- Able to develop, prepare, and present formal briefings and speeches to USACIDC leadership (at all echelons).
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct one (1) face-to-face session with assigned CID Agents per calendar year.
- Manage approximately 65-100 Agents/personnel, noting that not all shall require ongoing and/or consistent care.
- Visit each designated location associated with their hub location for at least five days per quarter for the purpose of providing face-to-face counseling services.
- Perform case management services for all DACID personnel referred for treatment outside of the Wellness Program.
- Provide case management for individuals following treatment in inpatient care, substance abuse programs, or any referrals to resources for long-term treatment.
- Track all cases through a specific tracker provided by the Government.
Educational/Skills
- All counselors shall be Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) with a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program.
- Background working with or in the military and law enforcement is strongly preferred.
- U.S. Citizen required.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work involving up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- General Office Demands: Must be able to operate general office equipment including but not limited to: computer, phones and related media and information devices on most or all workdays.
- Ability to communicate and interact with others, both in person and/or by telephone to conduct business.
- Working under time pressure and working rapidly for long periods to meet deadlines.
