LCSW - Full Time Position

About the role

Jackson Therapy Partners is hiring an experienced LCSW for a full-time Days position in Sitka, AK at a hospital where you will provide evidence-based, culturally relevant crisis intervention services in the emergency department and other hospital departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals in crisis
• Determine appropriate levels of care including involuntary psychiatric hospitalization under Alaska Statute Title 47
• Perform intake/diagnostic evaluations
• Provide crisis counseling and intervention
• Conduct discharge planning
• Coordinate care with external agencies
• Document all services in the electronic health record
• Participate as a professional member of the interdisciplinary treatment team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Professional Counselor (LPC) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license preferred
• Once licensure is obtained, it must be maintained for the duration of employment
• Two years experience in a mental health, substance use treatment program, or similar behavioral health social service agency
• Experience with behavioral health assessment and diagnoses for patients of all ages
• Experience performing crisis intervention, safety/risk assessments for suicide/self-harm/homicide, and developing safety plans
• Experience implementing and documenting Alaska Title 47 involuntary hold and treatment forms
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate care with external agencies, psychiatric facilities, and community resources
• Valid State of Alaska driver’s license or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire
