About the role

LCSW Assessment Specialist conducts comprehensive psychosocial and mental-health assessments, evaluates risk and treatment needs, coordinates with the interdisciplinary care team, assists with crisis intervention, and helps develop appropriate treatment and discharge plans for patients receiving behavioral-health services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • North Carolina LCSW license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • CPI (Handle With Care – can be completed on site)
  • 2 years recent acute-care hospital experience in specialty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health-care facility
  • Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric patients

Schedule

  • Length of assignment: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
