Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical program supervision – according to administrative rule and corporate policy for the programs he/she is assigned.
  • Counsel clients on a one-to-one session to assist in dealing with mental health issues.
  • Interviews clients, reviews applicable records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate the mental conditions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, directors, staff physicians, and other pertinent professionals to plan and coordinate treatment, drawing on experience and the needs and strengths of individual youths.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals.
  • Refer clients – and if applicable – family members to community resources for services to assist in meeting treatment goals and recovery, following through to ensure service efficacy.
  • Provide any needed clinical assistance to other staff that may provide services to clients.
  • May provide consultation, evaluation, and treatment services.
  • Spend time with consumer and family as assigned and/or as identified on the treatment plan while assisting the family problem solve when issues arise.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings of consumers.
  • Report behavioral and emotional observations of consumers and/or family members to Support Team and modify treatment plans according to changes in client status.
  • Utilize H.E.L.P. (including therapeutic holds) when it is determined that a resident is a danger to self or others; also perform basic First Aid and/or CPR when needed.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory training, in-services, staff meetings, and Corporate Committees as assigned.
  • Demonstrate – on a consistent basis – the willingness and ability to productively utilize work time in order to meet the needs of the individuals being served as directed, with the understanding that specific fiscal goals (billing, case load number maintenance, weekly) must be met on a monthly basis.
  • Develop a crisis plan with the caregiver that identifies a range of potential crisis situations with a range of corresponding responses including direct and telephonic response 24/7.
  • Utilize and accurately record data using AWARE’s Electronic Medical Records System as assigned, outlined, and trained.

Talents, skills, and abilities

  • Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • An advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Requires one (1) year direct work experience and a current LCPC or LCSW License. As a condition of continued employment, AWARE's Lead Clinical Program Supervisor must maintain the specific professional license and/or professional certification as required by state, federal governing boards, and other such certification boards.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License. Must have an acceptable driving record, as well as an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
