Responsibilities
- Supervising clients directly within your assigned work unit.
- Referring clients to treatment providers as required by the Department of Corrections, Probation, or Evaluations; maintaining monthly contact and obtaining reports on client progress and stability.
- Conducting intakes with new clients, including completing specialized assessments and reviewing budgeting, employment, and treatment requirements.
- Preparing affidavits and court documentation related to sentence discharge, negative or early termination, and other required filings.
- Testifying in court proceedings, Parole Board hearings, and administrative review hearings; filing felony cases with the District Attorney’s Office when necessary.
- Making incident reports and presenting cases in Administrative Review, as needed.
- Monitoring client medication compliance to ensure prescriptions are taken and discontinued appropriately, and communicating with providers when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- One (1) year of experience with mental health and substance use disorders within the criminal justice system required for treatment positions.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
- Possession of Adult CPR, First Aid and AED certification within six (6) months of hire is required.
