Responsibilities
- Reports to site foreman.
- Understand blueprints and apply them to building the site/project.
- Correct use and knowledge of tools required to do the job.
- Ability to set up and use lasers and build walls and ceilings ensuring that they are plumb, level, straight and square.
- Able to communicate with co-workers/supervisors, using basic English skills, in both written and verbal methods.
- Able to understand and perform basic math skills.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma/GED (preferred).
- Wear proper protective clothing; long pants, shirt with sleeves, hard sole boots, hard hat and safety glasses.
- Repetitive movement: sitting, standing, squatting, crouching, bending, twisting, working in cramped spaces and getting into awkward positions while working.
- Required to work at varying heights using proper safety equipment.
- Able to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Working in other than ideal weather conditions, hot, cold, humid.
- Exposure to contaminants and hazardous equipment.
- Working with, around or near other trades.
