On-site position in Troy, MI.

About the Role

Performs fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools.

Responsibilities

• Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas.
• Communicate with and educate clients regarding diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services.
• Perform prescribed fertilization and integrated pest management on trees and shrubs using spray and injection tools.
• Continuously monitor pest control and fertilization methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, use, maintain, and properly operate truck and sprayer equipment.

Requirements

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Background in Horticulture or Landscaping.
• Turf, weed, tree, and shrub identification knowledge.
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
