Lawn Care Technician / Specialist

Naturescape of Lombard, IL is seeking a Lawn Care Specialist to provide outstanding services for residential and commercial properties.

About the role

Your primary responsibility is to be the face of our company in the field. You manage a route and transform landscapes across our service area. You'll work 10-hour days, 4 days per week (with variations due to weather and customer needs). Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You act as a consultant and problem-solver, assessing lawn health and landscape needs, and communicating clearly with customers. Adaptability is key, as you pivot with the seasons, including snow removal in winter. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. We value your development and provide training—no prior lawn care or landscape experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care services including mowing, aeration, tree/shrub care, pruning, and mosquito control
• Manage a route of residential and commercial properties
• Assess lawn health and landscape needs, providing expert recommendations to customers
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers, building rapport and trust
• Adapt to seasonal changes, including snow removal in winter
• Develop your skills through on-the-job training and experience
• Work independently in outdoor settings

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Motivated with a desire to learn
• Passion for working outdoors and helping people

No lawn care or landscape experience is required—we provide paid training!

Pay

• Starting wage: $20/hr
• Expected average: $20/hr - $27/hr
• Top earners: Additional $15,000+ per year in performance bonuses
• Weekly bonus potential for most specialists
• Frequent overtime opportunities available
