Lawn Care Technician / Specialist
Naturescape of Sturtevant, WI is seeking a Lawn Care Specialist to provide outstanding services for residential and commercial properties.
About the role
Your primary responsibility is to be the face of our company in the field. You manage a route and transform landscapes across our service area. You'll work in a high-visibility role, serving as a consultant and problem-solver for customers, assessing lawn health, and building rapport. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications.
You work adaptably with the seasons, performing precision lawn care, aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care, pruning, and mosquito control. In winter, you pivot to snow removal. Your work directly enhances customers' properties and pride in their homes.
We value your development and provide "learning by doing" opportunities. Whether you have experience as a laborer, landscaper, or groundskeeper, we expect a "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision lawn care, aeration, mowing, and mosquito control
- Provide tree and shrub care, including pruning
- Act as a consultant to customers, assessing lawn health and landscape needs
- Communicate clearly and kindly with customers about services and care
- Adapt to seasonal work, including snow removal in winter
- Manage a route of residential and commercial properties
- Develop skills through hands-on training and experience
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated with a desire to learn
- Passion for working outdoors and helping people
No lawn care or landscape experience is required—we provide paid training.
Pay & Compensation
- Starting wage: $20/hr
- Expected average: $20/hr – $27/hr
- Top earners: Additional $15,000+ per year in performance bonuses
- Weekly bonus potential: Most specialists earn a bonus every week
- Overtime opportunities frequently available
Schedule
- Typically 10-hour days, 4 days per week (varies due to weather and customer needs)
- Full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available
- Flexible scheduling, including winter work opportunities (e.g., snow removal)
