Pay & Compensation

  • Starting Wage: $20/hr
  • Expected Average: $20/hr - $27/hr
  • Top Earners: Earn an extra $15,000+ per year in performance bonuses
  • Weekly Bonus Potential: Most specialists earn a bonus every week
  • $750 bonus at 4 months if already licensed in Core & 3T at time of hire
  • Fully licensed professionals in Iowa (Core and 3T) eligible for a $750 bonus after 4 months

Schedule

Typically 10-hour days, 4 days per week (with variations due to weather and customer needs). Full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available with a flexible schedule.

A Day in the Life of a Lawn Care Specialist

As the face of our company in the field, you manage a route and transform landscapes. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to perform precision lawn care, aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You act as a consultant and problem-solver, using provided training to assess lawn health and landscape needs, building rapport with customers.

Adaptability is key, as you pivot with the seasons, including snow removal in winter. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. We value your development and expect a willingness to learn, offering a "learning by doing" approach. A "can-do" attitude and eagerness to be coached are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision lawn care, aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care, pruning, and mosquito control
  • Manage a route of residential and commercial properties
  • Act as a consultant and problem-solver for customers' landscape needs
  • Assess lawn health and provide clear, kind communication to customers
  • Adapt to seasonal changes, including snow removal in winter
  • Develop skills through on-the-job training and coaching

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Motivated with a desire to learn
  • No lawn care or landscape experience required; paid training provided
  • Passion for working outdoors and helping people

Candidates who are fully licensed in Iowa (Core and 3T) before their start date are eligible for additional bonuses.
