Lawn Care Technician / Specialist

About the role

Naturescape of Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Lawn Care Specialist to deliver outstanding residential and commercial lawn and landscape services. This is a field role where you’ll manage a route, transform landscapes, and serve as the face of the company in the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision lawn care, aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control
• Assess lawn health and landscape needs using company-provided training
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain services and build rapport
• Pivot seasonally to snow removal and other winter work as needed
• Work outdoors across a variety of properties, often in high-visibility roles
• Participate in paid training and ongoing skill development

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Motivated with a desire to learn
• No prior lawn care or landscape experience required—paid training provided

Pay

• Starting wage: $21/hr
• Expected average: $21/hr – $28/hr
• Top earners can make an extra $15,000+ per year in performance bonuses
• Weekly bonus potential—most specialists earn a bonus every week
• $750 bonus at 4 months if already holding Core & 3T certification at time of hire
• Fully licensed Iowa Commercial Pesticide Applicators (Core and 3T) receive a $750 bonus after 4 months of continuous employment
