Lawn Care Fertilizer Technician

Lawn Doctor of Denton is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Lawn Care Technicians. Represent our brand in the field—caring for lawns, providing mosquito control, and helping customers achieve healthier, greener outdoor spaces.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position with full training provided. You’ll learn how to:

• Identify turf types, lawn stress, and common diseases
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides safely and effectively
• Perform core aeration and seeding to improve lawn health
• Manage residential and commercial lawn care services independently

No prior lawn care experience is required—just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers, weed control, and treatments using ride-on or walk-behind equipment
• Perform core aeration and seeding services
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates
• Maintain equipment and assist with basic shop tasks
• Recommend additional services that benefit customers

No mowing or landscaping required.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a drug test and background check
• A positive attitude and commitment to doing the right thing for clients
