Lawn Care Crew Member

Duties

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns at multiple childcare center locations.
• Weed flower beds, playground areas, and landscaped spaces.
• Prune shrubs, bushes, and small trees as needed.
• Blow leaves, grass clippings, and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances.
• Pick up litter and keep outdoor areas clean and presentable.
• Apply mulch, plant flowers or shrubs, and assist with seasonal landscaping projects.
• Inspect outdoor areas for potential safety hazards and report needed repairs.
• Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety procedures while working around children and occupied facilities.
• Auxiliary with other general grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple childcare center locations.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe and attractive outdoor environments.
