Law Firm Case Manager

About the role

Swenson & Shelley Law is seeking a motivated self‑starter to serve as a Case Manager. In this role you will handle the pre‑litigation phase of personal injury cases from inception to settlement, establishing caring relationships with clients and collaborative partnerships with staff attorneys and the support team. You will have extensive contact with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties involved in legal cases, and the position offers a long‑term commitment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers.
• Examine legal documents to assure all legal requirements have been met.
• Support attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as needed.
• Manage, update, and organize all case files and information—both electronic and paper—in accordance with firm policies.
• Update clients and outside counsel on case status as requested.

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational skills and effective written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficiency with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet/presentation tools.
• Self‑starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Compensation

$19 – $24 hourly
