About the role

As a Law Enforcement Security Officer Patrol Detail in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions, under stressful conditions.
  • Maturity in conduct behavior and attitude.
  • Able to take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one’s actions.
  • Alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct.
  • Able to recognize, respond and take appropriate and corrective actions to various situations.
  • Strong moral character. Must possess high standards and be truthful.
  • Able to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
  • Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
  • LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

  • Formal Education, Licenses, And Certifications Required:
    • Complete one of the following approved programs: Certified State law enforcement recruit training, Certified County law enforcement recruit training, Federal law enforcement training, Programs approved by the Director, each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications.
  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.

Skills

  • Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
  • Other related attributes that would enahnce hiring consideration: No record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.

Pay

Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
