About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location in Honolulu, HI. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to travelers and staff. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access roads, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain awareness of changing conditions across assigned airport locations.
• Exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
• Demonstrate maturity in conduct, behavior, and attitude; take orders, follow instructions, and accept responsibility for actions.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
• Maintain professional conduct and courtesy in interactions with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement, and security personnel.
• Provide court appearances for citations issued on behalf of DOTA, with replacement staffing provided as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).
• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Law Enforcement Officer License.
• At least 21 years of age.
• No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.922(g)(9)).
• No documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings.
• No record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders that may interfere with performance of duties.
• Ability to supervise personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies, and the public on security-related matters.

Qualifications

• Completion of one of the following approved programs:
  • Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
  • Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
  • Federal law enforcement training.
  • Programs approved by the Director.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.
• Ability to assist in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.
• Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required, including moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking, patrolling, climbing stairs, running, and self-defense for an entire shift.
• Correctable vision to 20/30 in each eye with normal color vision.
• Able to hear at a normal conversational level (hearing aid permitted).
• Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.
• Pass a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months, a 12-panel drug test, and all future random drug testing.
• Pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and ID office.

• Wednesday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
