LAUNDRY WORKER II - OAHU CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES

Duties

• Classifies clothing for washing
• Determines soap formulae and solutions for removing stains
• Supervises helpers performing various laundry tasks
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Legal Authorization to Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Experience: Three (3) years of commercial or institutional laundry experience. Some of the experience must demonstrate knowledge of the operation and care of commercial or institutional washers, extractors, and tumblers or driers.
• Driver's License: Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement: Not specified.
• Other Requirements: Applicants must be subject to drug screening and an intensive background check. Applicants are responsible for any costs involved.
