Laundry Technician

Job Summary

The Laundry Technician processes linens and performs related duties to ensure clean and sanitized linens for hospitals and facilities. Essential duties include receiving, weighing, and logging soiled linens, inspecting linens for damages, sorting linens, folding and stacking, and assisting with equipment cleaning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous Laundry or EVS experience
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

What You Will Do

You will:

• Receive, weigh, and log soiled linens from hospitals
• Visually inspect linens for damages and unserviceability
• Sort linens according to wash formula and type
• Assist with loading and unloading washers
• Properly fold, stack, and tie linens for orders
• Assist with loading and unloading vendor and supply trucks
• Clean the laundry area and equipment, as well as the break room and restrooms
