About the role

The Laundry Worker is responsible for washing and drying linen and residents' clothes, ensuring all clean linen is promptly returned to the linen storage area. They must return residents' clothes to their owners, properly identify items, and report any losses or damages. Additionally, the worker maintains an inventory of linens and laundry supplies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred
• Previous experience preferable but not essential
• Receives on-the-job training with supervision
• Understanding of standard procedures used in laundry services for patients and in caring for clothes, linens, equipment, and supplies
• Interest in learning, ability to cooperate, and willingness to work under supervision
• Ability to work well with co-workers
