Laundry Operations Supervisor
Job Overview
Supervises the daily operations of the SMSC laundry. Ensures that all linens for the Gaming Operations, and Tribal Operations outlets are processed and delivered daily. Maintains quality in all linens processed and rejects any exceptions. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area.
Requirements
- High School or GED
- Any combination of supervisory, or industrial laundry experience to equal three years
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, Spanish is a plus
- Basic Computer Skills — Keyboarding and Software
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record
- Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to move in a variety of motions including bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and/ or pushing

About the Role
Supports daily laundry operations, creates and manages team schedules, fosters a positive, productive work environment, builds strong relationships with team, partners closely with Hotel Team to prioritize and expedite laundering needs based on hotel volume
Responsibilities
- Schedules team members, according to staffing and occupancy
- Interviews, hires, and promotes team members
- Provides on-going training, development, and performance management for direct reports
- Assigns daily work duties to team and monitors their performance for accuracy and safety while operating machines and equipment for processing work
- Informs team members of policy and procedure changes and gains compliance
- Collaborates with Hotel Housekeeping on monthly inventory control for the Hotel linen
- Works closely with Housekeeping on prioritizing and expediting what linen is needed on a daily basis
- Carefully coordinates with Housekeeping and F&B on the processing of new linens, and develops the procedure for processing them
- Occasional tasks: Quality control of linens, drapes, sheers, and prepares new linens
- Cleans and organizes storerooms
- Aids in Dry Cleaning area
- Weighs all the clean linen leaving the building and posts it to the correct outlet
- Cleans areas soiled by bloodborne pathogens and bacteria
- Reviews Operational Procedures
