About the Role
This position ensures proper training and supervision of all Laundry personnel to deliver prompt, courteous, and cost-effective service in compliance with Omni standards.
Responsibilities
- Turn on/check the ironer and ensure it is in good operating condition (e.g., waxing)
- Inspect all washing machines and dryers to confirm they are in good working condition
- Set daily priorities for Laundry staff and assign associates to their stations upon check-in
- Maintain counts and records of all items processed
- Personally supervise the spotting and washing of all stained linens/terry
- Recommend linen for conversion to rags when necessary
- Oversee the delivery of linens to Food and Beverage and guestroom floors
- Ensure correct folding of all items
- Set priorities for linen runners in loading and delivery to floors
- Inspect all linen before it leaves the Laundry
- Manage Laundry associate morale, absenteeism, and daily production
- Ensure proper station rotation during the day
- Communicate with Housekeeping Assistant, Room Service Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager regarding daily specials and weekly/monthly requirements
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for the hotel, guests, and associates
- Knowledge of hotel facilities and events
Requirements
- Able to push carts up to 100 lbs. filled with linen
- Proficient in operating all Laundry machinery
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
